TO DOOR? or NOT- TO- DOOR?

Doorless showers, otherwise known as Roman shower or a Walk-in shower, is a shower architecturally designed so that you do not require a door or a curtain  to prevent water from leaking out.

In the past few years, doorless showers have become more and more popular. Although this concept has been around for centuries, this type of shower has become more and more common over the past few years.

Some advantages of this design is can serve a double duty where you can have a walkway via an exit door during the day, and a shower at night. (see 3rd photo below). This concept also opens up the space in your bathroom making it seem larger and more airy. Another advantage is less cleaning and no streaking and built-up residue on glass doors. This leaves your bathroom feeling much more clean.

Although its many advantages, this doorless shower also has its disadvantages. One disadvantage includes NO privacy. This is really a one person at a time bathroom kind of design.  Also, you might find it more chilly and breezy when showering which may provide discomfort. Also, be careful not to splash! You might end up with a damp towel for drying off! ha!

Either way, we love this modern, spa-like, architecturally-design this concept provides.  Let us know what you think!
